Tamlyn Shipping was established in 1946 and acts as ships agents for vessels calling at Falmouth for dry-docking, loading/unloading of cargo, crew changes, bunkers, stores and provisions and other marine related activities.
As agents their primary intention is to organise a quick and efficient port call to the full satisfaction of the Masters & Owners of the vessel. The agency service is available on a 24 hour, 365 days a year basis and is manned by personnel who have had many years experience in the shipping industry. Their offices are situated in the main dockyard complex adjacent to the repair and discharge berths. Falmouth is easily accessible by road, rail and local airports.

Cargo handling equipment consists of a 40 tonne crane. There are a number of forklifts, front and side loading between 2 tonnes and 6 tonnes loading capacity. In addition there are loading shovels with 3.7m³ bucket capacity, rehandling grabs up to 3.0m³ and other dedicated equipment such as loading conveyors and flying forks. A locally based crane hire company has cranes up to 130 tonne lift.
